Surely, the most celebrated and durable brand in the Innovation Presentation business is TED. So when Chris Anderson, the head of TED (re)publishes his excellent, “How to Give a Killer Presentation” in HBR — whether you give presentations or not — you will be better for reading it.
Though pitching and presenting are very different beasts, there are some universal pearls of wisdom, like:
“consider what people in the audience already know about your subject—and how much they care about it. If you assume they have more knowledge or interest than they do, or if you start using jargon or get too technical, you’ll lose them.”
